Halloween Monsters at Home is a complete 3-lesson ESL package for primary learners that uses fun Halloween characters to teach and practise the Present Continuous, everyday actions and rooms of the house.

Students meet vampires, witches, mummies, skeletons, ghosts, werewolves and other friendly monsters and discover what they are doing around the haunted house. They move from simple sentences such as “The vampire is sleeping” to combining the action and location: “The mummy is cooking in the kitchen.”

Throughout the three lessons, students practise asking and answering questions such as “What is he doing?”, “Where is he?” and “Who is having a bath?”, while recycling the target language through games, matching, sorting, speaking, reading and pair work.
